Rene Moawad Foundation is recruiting a Business Development Coordinator, under the UNDP funded “Providing Direct Support to Local MSMEs in Tripoli” project.
René Moawad Foundation (RMF) is a Lebanese non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization that was established on November 22, 1991 two years after President René Moawad’s assassination, who was elected President of the Lebanese Republic on November 5, 1989 and killed 17 days later. President René Moawad believed in a strong and democratic state and fought for a progressive and modern Lebanon, a peaceful Lebanon, which embraces the values of democracy, human rights, moderation and pluralism.
The main objective of the activity is to support 80 established MSMEs (including cooperatives) located in Tripoli, to improve their conditions under the current situation and support their growth in the long term. This is done through the provision of a package of support to maintain and improve operations. This package will include in-kind support (tools, equipment amongst others) to reduce cost of production, as well as the provision of capacity building required to support their growth in the medium term.
Scope of Work:
General:
- Ensure the implementation of activities based on SOPs and workplan.
- Conduct field visits to activity sites as needed.
- Develop and update all necessary templates, including data collection tools and TORs.
- Maintain a database of project outputs.
- Report activities to the Project Manager
Outreach, Selection, and Management of Beneficiaries
- Design and develop a recruitment plan with the assistance of the Project Manager to ensure that it adheres to the project objectives and guidelines.
- Mapping in order to identify the vulnerable population areas and beneficiaries interested in vocational training activities
- Conducting an assessment of the areas of intervention and proposing development ideas
- Coordinate with the Communication Officer for the dissemination of communication outputs
- Ensure that all beneficiaries are assisted in filling and submitting their applications
- Organize and assist in the outreach interviews
- Assist in all outreach activities
- Ensure relevant outreach events are scheduled
- Ensure that communication outputs are disseminated
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is prepared in a timely manner
- Staying in touch with the beneficiaries before and during the training.
- Fill in the recruitment tabs with the candidates’ details.
Reporting
- Weekly report on the progress of outreach and selection to the Project Manager
- Support in the provision of accurate and timely project-related reports in accordance with donor requirements and /or report formats (once per month)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in development, business, economics, or any related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in economic assessment, provision of Business development services, field trainings and coaching
- Knowledge on the Tripoli market, specifically the MSMEs sector
- Carried out assessments and monitored similar activities
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
