presentation: Un Ponte Per (UPP) is an Italian NGO established in 1991. It started its activities as “Un Ponte per Baghdad”, in the aftermath of the first Gulf war, with the aim of organizing solidarity initiatives in support of the Iraqi civilian population. UPP missions expanded to include other Middle Eastern and Mediterranean countries. UPP aims at preventing armed conflicts, protecting human rights, and supporting local civil society, especially in the Middle East, by promoting the nexus between its humanitarian, peacebuilding, and development programs. UPP in Lebanon seeks to promote the principles of peace, human rights, and solidarity among people and communities.

Un Ponte Per is currently implementing a project entitled “Amn Al-Insani - Towards the Prioritization of Human Security” in partnership with Permanent Peace Movement (PPM), in Aley and Chouf Districts. The project endeavors to improve communities’ safety and security in Mount Lebanon, promoting key actors’ understanding of human security and enabling the adoption of food security trends, increased advocacy efforts and community-based initiatives.
The objective of the Assignment
The objective of this assignment is to conduct technical training on agricultural trends for 150 local farmers, and COOPs/CSOs within the targeted Districts of Chouf and Aley, for a maximum of 10 sessions of 3 days each (participants per session are 15 to 20)
The trainer(s) will be expected to lead on the development of the training format and of all the materials required to before and during the training. The training sessions need to be conducted in the period between December 2021 and April 2022.
- Outputs:
- Development of training methodology and agenda.
- Development of training curriculum, handouts, and training material.
- Delivery of training for up to 10 Groups each of 15 to 20 Participants.
The Trainer will be contracted and managed by UPP Lebanon and PPM, UPP and PPM will provide support for the related logistics and printing of training materials.

• He/she should have at least 5 years of work experience in training in similar field.
• The trainer(s) must have profound knowledge on challenges faced by farmers in agriculture/ agri-business sector in Aley and Chouf districts, with the issued addressed during the training.
• Good conceptual, writing and presentation skills
• Excellent command of the Arabic and English language (oral and written)
• Computer skills in word, excel and power point.
