PROJECT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The project is aiming at providing Educational, capacity building, Youth and Child Rights, Social peace, Art Forms and many related trainings for activists and vulnerable groups and individuals youth from all the Nationalities in Lebanon, to qualify them as Agents of Change, so they can promote Children’s and Youth Rights in different Lebanese communities, by using an artistic and child rights-based approach. As ‘Agents of Change’, participants will promote Children’s and Youth Rights, thereby advocating for more acceptance, diversity, tolerance and social peace in the Lebanese communities, whilst they are at the same time strengthening their personal role by increasing their self-confidence as trainers.

JOB BRIEF:

The program officer is part of the program team of the “Art of Being” that is entrusted with supporting the development of “Art of Being” within HOPe team and with HOPe’s partners. The officer will be also responsible to support the “Art of Being” coordinator and HOPe team in developing and maintaining the success of the project. Based on that the officer in coordination with the coordinator will be supporting in the preparation of the workshops agenda, action plans, and media posting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Activity/Field Roles:

Unit Archiver:

  • Support in preparing and updating the weekly report of the activities and the number of beneficiaries using the beneficiary sheet.
  •  Scaling up the impact of HOPe “Art of Being” project by supporting the coordinator in improving the existing tools, training and programs, and the needs based on HOPe strategy. 
  • Support in monitoring the progress of work according to project targets as per the log frame in the approved proposal. following up on the baseline and end line with the participants.

Meeting Note Keeper” Art of Being “Unit:

  • Gather information to support ongoing monitoring and evaluation of implemented activities and initiatives.
  • Attend scheduled online and onsite training and meetings with the youth, mostly scheduled during weekends and after 5:00 pm, to provide support, monitor, and track participation.
  • Help in preparing media plans and posting activities on social media.
  • Facilitate meetings and sessions in methodological and creative methods.

Relationship builder:

  • The officer will attend external meetings and networking events with the participants and build a trustful relationship with them.
  • Field visits to monitor project activities and report on them in coordination with the project coordinator.

Unit Procurement:

  • Responsible to prepare procurement requests for the unit according to the procurement procedures and policy. The officer will be responsible for all the logistics of the trainings (refreshments, trainings materials, Attendance sheet, transportation when needed, venue).
  • Collect documents from the field as per the policies and guidelines of the project and standard operating procedures and as per guidelines from the Accounting (invoices, transportation fees, etc..) related to the project activities in coordination with the project coordinator.

 

  • Eco Friend:
  • To promote and support eco-friendly practices at HOPe office and the field of work in general.
  • Assist in other related tasks as requested by the Executive Director and project coordinator.

 

 Qualifications:

  • University degree in the related field.
  • Very well knowledge in media and photography (photoshop).
  • Knowledge in mentoring, and coaching.
  • Knowledge in monitoring, and Evaluation.
  • Perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
  • Notable time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in partnership with local communities and NGOs.
  • Teamwork and cooperative attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Good computing skills.
  • Ability to prepare the budget.
  • Based in  Beirut, and possibility to attend trainings across Lebanon
  • Additional requirement for non-Lebanese nationals: permit of residence in Lebanon is required.
