Shadda Media Lab is a media platform and a shared working space for media producers in Tripoli. 

Shadda was established at Shift Social Innovation Hub with the contribution of a group of youth, with the aim of promoting peace and positivity through informative, entertaining, and realistic content.

Shadda is the first media lab to offer its services directly to marginalized communities in the areas in Tripoli. Shadda also provides a safe space for workshop and content creation, in addition to providing the basic equipment for content creation for every young man and woman with the passion to create meaningful innovative content. 

Job Description

We are looking for a professional and creative trainer in script writing and storytelling. You will be facilitating trainings “Build scripts with advanced storytelling” to a group of 25 individuals for 3 full days. You will be providing support for the team to develop advanced experience in the different methods of advanced storytelling and script writing. The aim of the training is to improve the process of content creating that will be posted on our social media platform.

The trainer will focus on developing and conducting training for the participants to better understand storytelling and acknowledge the importance of maintaining and well-designed script compatible with the project aims.

As a facilitator, you will be surrounded by academic and amateur participants, from different cultural backgrounds, who have humble media experience. We expect that you are familiar with the essence of the content and the training to be interactive and to have a practical side.

The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience and knowledge of the strengths of the new media platforms. He/she must be a highly motivated individual with experience and passion for content making and marketing. It’s very crucial that the team receives trainings on professional skills.

Responsibilities:

• Your work aim is to teach and support the team in upgrading their script and storytelling knowledge.
• Get familiar with projects being prepared to plan the content accordingly.
• It’s highly preferable that the training is interactive and has a practical side.
• The training will be on 3 full days.
• You must be familiar with the action plan and planned trainings, to create your vision about the expected results and goal of the project.
• You should coordinate the follow up with our mentor.
• You should be taking into consideration the team's capabilities, available materials and logistics.

Qualifications:

• Certifications and experience in scriptwriting, storytelling & developing scripts.
• Strong facilitation and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Conflict Sensitivity Training is an asset.
• Experience in conducting trainings.
• Excellent social and personal relationships.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent English technical words knowledge.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in similar specialization.
• Experience and ability to deal with unexpected challenges.
• Wide vision about the effective work on social media.
• Possession of a degree in a relevant field.
• Have a high comfort level with social media platforms such as:  Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, tiktok, etc.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills.
