- Conduct qualitative research including literature reviews, research design, tool design, analysis and discussion, and generation of recommendations;
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation studies;
- Assist in the coordination of field team;
- Lead trainings of field researchers on new projects, research tools, and data collection, management and analysis;
- Conduct field research in the form of FGDs, KIIs, case studies, observations, and participatory research methods;
- Assist in conceptualization of new research studies, proposal writing, and strategic planning;
- Organize project files, data, and documents;
- Lead and attend meetings with project partners;
- Strengthen team dynamics;
- Provide research mentorship for the junior researchers;
- Assist on articles for publication;
- Work with the teams in other departments across CRD on relevant projects and tasks.

• Master’s degree in social sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Development Studies, other related fields);
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in social science research, research in the humanitarian and development sectors, and program coordination;
• Proven experience of working with a variety of qualitative analysis software, such as NVIVO, Dedose, or Atlas TI;
• Proven ability to visualize and communicate the data, including within a larger narrative report;
• Targeted expertise in social research, particularly livelihoods, social cohesion and stability, or refugee communities and migration;
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in Lebanon a must. Additional knowledge or experience in other MENA countries, a plus;
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills;
• Collaborative and constructive team member;
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong presentation skills;
• Examples of published research a plus;
• Fluency in written and oral English, Arabic a must.
