 CONTEXT                                                                                                                                          IECD  (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1994 and opened a regional office in Beirut in 2007.

Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) Social Business, is a social enterprise specialized in Automated & Electrical Turnkey Solution Services, whose mission is to provide practical work experience for graduates of technical vocational schools, with the direct involvement of the private sector, to ensure that they have the right confidence, technical and soft skills to help them find steady employment. In collaboration with IECD (Institut Européen de Cooperation et de Développement) and vocational training schools across Lebanon, they support graduates from vulnerable communities in getting much needed experience and income in the electrical sector while providing partner companies with the electric and automation services that they need. To date,

SDA has provided income opportunities and internships for more than 50 graduates and partnered with more than 30 clients.

IECD and semeurs d’avenir wish to recruit a project engineer. The main challenges of the project will be working under pressure, keeping up with the heavy load of the project and finding new solutions on site immediately to continue working on the project.

  Mission                                                                                                                                        

Under the supervision of the Education, Training and Professional Integration Program Manager, the Project engineer  will  be responsible  for  the  evolution  and  monitoring  of technicians on site. Also, The project engineer  will  be  responsible  for  managing  the  planning  and  processes  of  a  project  and  delegate responsibilities to ensure the project is completed efficiently and successfully. Moreover, the project engineer will delegate tasks to technicians according to their individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.

  Management  and  implementation                                                                                                                                        

Under the supervision of the project manager:

●    Organize and plan of weekly and daily tasks

●    Manage the Team/Project for proper implementation while respecting norms, safety, quality and

time.

 Administrative  management                                                                                                                                        

●    Write internal reports to the project manager/supervisor.

●    Identify, develop and offer training in response to the technicians’ needs.

●    Follow the technician’s development and fulfillment on site.

●    Participate in the development of new collaboration opportunities.

 Profile  /  Education:                                                                                                                                         

●    Bachelor of engineering (BE). Preferably in the domain of electricity or industrial automation.

 Experience:                                                                                                                                         

●    2 to 3 years experience in the domain of electricity.

●    Proven experience in industrial automation.

 Skills:                                                                                                                                         

●    Very good oral and writing skills in Arabic and English is required, knowledge of French is a plus

●    Strategic vision of the project

●    Good interpersonal communication

●    Good management of MS Office applications.
