Math Tutor

Math Tutor for Grades 2 and 3

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide lessons to children in accordance with the approved curriculums. (Both Physically and online)
2. Prepare Daily lesson /Annual Plan.
3. Tests Evaluation and assessment of pupils' work and report on pupils' achievement.
4. Proctoring the exams
5. Regularly attend tutors and parents' meetings.
6. Attend meetings with School Principal, Education Officer, Project Director, and any requisite meetings.
7. Attend JRS trainings and school celebrations/ trips.
8. Be responsible for classroom management, time management, and attendance sheets.
9. Tailor the lessons according to the abilities of the children in the classroom.
10. Coordinate with the tutors, School Principal, and School administrator.
11. Adhere to JRS Policies and procedures during class time
12. Contribute to the supervisory duties
13. Contribute to the work of the school as a whole

Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in Mathematics or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a math teacher
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Organizational and team working skills
• Good cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Highly approachable, trustworthy, and maintains confidentiality
• Experience in planning class programs
• Experience in participatory programs
• Experience in working with refugees is a plus.

The schedule is 25 hours/week.
