- Background
SHiFT is a social innovation hub leading the transformation of post-conflict and/or marginalized zones towards peaceful and prosperous communities. We bring people together and bridge differences through building capacities, raising awareness, creating opportunities, promoting success models and mentoring.
With the partnership of the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) and funded by the Japanese embassy, SHiFT is currently implementing the project entitled “Supporting local social stability mechanisms in Al-Mina” aiming at improving the living conditions and enhancing social stability and addressing future tensions and conflicts in a peaceful and constructive matter. We will contribute to this objective by getting the residents together to increase collaboration and trust in each other, giving them capacities to work together on improving living conditions. Living conditions, social cohesion and stability are interdependent, and therefore it is necessary to address all to secure sustainability of our intervention.
