Nurse Supervisor - Makassed Hospital

   Makassed Hospital is seeking to recruit a Nurse Supervisor.

• Job Objective: Develop and maintain an environment supporting staff and patients and ensuring providing of excellent care and services to all hospital patients.
•  Main Tasks:

- Supervise, monitor and direct nursing team members’ tasks completion as per their Job Description.

- Capture issues and/or complaints from concerned stakeholders (nurses, patients, doctors, others), implement Corrective/preventive actions and document them in reports raised to Nursing Director.

- Coordinate with physicians and administration supervisor all issues related to: patient admission, patient accounting & invoicing, security, transportation (ambulance), medical and building maintenance, house-keeping and central sterile supply.

- Conduct floor rounds to evaluate nursing care and practice through patient observation, documentation, and performance improvement activities, taking action based upon clinical judgment and knowledge of current safety and nursing practice standards.

- Assist in the preparation for Accreditation and ISO surveys, in coordination with the nursing quality team.

- Manage the Shift schedules of the Nursing Teams in a way that ensures availability of needed resources for a sustained quality patient care and manage all related administrative affairs (including sick leaves, calls for absence, overtime, reassign team duties, nurses skills mix) in coordination with the Nursing Director.

- Audit patient’s file for accurate and complete documentation, nursing care plans, flow sheet, and nurses’ notes and coach nursing staff on the proper way to complete them.

• Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Master Degree in Nursing Administration or equivalent would be a plus.

- Experience: Minimum 7 years of expertise in the field, previous experience in a supervisory role would be a plus. 

- Candidate should be flexible to work on shifts basis (12 hours shift - 7:00 am-7:00 pm).
