Project Manager

Specific Tasks:

Project Management 
- Plan projects and develop planning tools;
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project in a timely and efficient manner;
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities;
- Review the project schedule with the Programs Manager and all other concerned staff involved in the project activities, and revise the schedules as required;
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion;
- Oversee the overall implementation of project activities;
- Execute the project according to the project plan with direct coordination with the project team;
- Set-up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured;
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project support team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards;
- Ensure the project implementation is in compliance with all donors’/partners’ procedures and regulations.

Stakeholder Relations
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders including donors, state institutions, CSOs, journalists, and citizen representatives;
- Lead on establishing meetings/communications/reporting calendar with stakeholders.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting 
- Develop, in close coordination with the MEL officer, a MEL framework, in addition to all other MEL tools required for the effective implementation of the project including measurable indicators;
- Overseeing the progress of the project through monitoring project deliverables, outputs and outcomes as per its set indicators and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project in a timely manner;
- Develop forms and records to document project activities as per the donor’s requirement and LTA’s internal procedures;
- Provide guidance and support to LTA’s MEL Officer in consolidating impact indicators on the project and highlighting success stories and lessons learnt;
- Develop ad hoc and regular reports on the project.

Financial Management
- Develop budget forecasts and ensure proper expenditure;
- Coordinate with LTA Finance Unit to provide needed documents required by Donor and LTA;
- Work closely with LTA Finance Unit to prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for donors as outlined in funding agreements;
- Monitor any potential risks, through developing risk-management plan to avoid any delay or challenges that might affect the effectiveness of the project implementation.

 

Working relationships

 

The Project Manager will have to work closely with all LTA team members on a daily basis. S/He will maintain close interaction with program, communications and finance staff of LTA and other TI chapters as relevant, and with entities associated with projects implemented within the scope of the project and LTA’s work in general. 

 

Minimum Qualifications and Other Requirements

Experience:    

- 2 to 3 years of similar work experience is required;
- Experience in field coordination, monitoring and follow up; 
- Experience in event management and coordination;
- Demonstrable ability to work with others and as part of / as leader of a team.

Skills:         

- Proven experience with NGO project management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and reporting skills in both Arabic and English communication skills are required (French is a plus);
- He/she should have advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Visio, Publisher, and Teams);
- Candidates with basic design and layout skills and adept in using Adobe Photoshop etc. are an added advantage;
- Ability to complete tasks on time;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently, coordinate, and plan with relevant team members;
- Ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
