Mercy Corps - 3amaly - Outreach Daily workers

Mercy Corps is seeking to contract outreach daily workers, to provide the outreach services for WBL Activity.

Objective of the Call: Through this activity, 3amaly intends to improve employability for individuals.

WBL Implementation Phases and Required Implementation

WBL Brief Description:

Mandated by the need to improve the employability of individuals, the Work-based learning subcomponent under 3amaly aims at supporting skilled workers in being trained on a practical level (apprenticeship) in addition to supporting NMSMEs with the opportunity to have skilled labour within their businesses. The objective behind WBL is for the skilled labour to gain work experience and for the businesses to get skilled labour in support of their production/service activities.

WBL includes outreaching skilled individuals with basic prior skill-related work experience and matching them with businesses where they will get trained for 40-60 days within the business. Through this enrollment period, WBL participants will be able to practice and acquire additional practical knowledge apart from their boost in work experience. Upon completion of the enrollment period, a minimum of 35% of the participants will then be linked to job/ employment opportunities.

The outreach process includes the outreach of eligible participants as per the above mentioned eligibility criteria), their selection in addition to mapping for businesses that match the skills needed and are able to host the participants and/or vice versa.

Required Tasks from the outreach daily workers

The daily worker , upon signing with Mercy Corps, is responsible for:

attending the kick-off meeting and coordinate with Mercy Corps 3amaly team.

Inform and clear all communication products with Mercy Corps and 3amaly communication guidelines.

Outreach and selection of potential participants (as per the criteria set above) in coordination with Mercy Corps 3amaly program.

Outreach businesses to be matched with the skill of the potential participant.

Any other related tasks requested from the skills team.
