Project Officer

Project Officer Responsibilities under the project of Community-based Sanitation and Hygiene promotion

  • Lead in the development of community-based campaigns to promote project activities and community engagement.
  • Participate in the development of project material and tools including hygiene promotion material, assessment tools, and monitoring and evaluation tools, as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate with grass-root groups (partners, volunteers, local committees) for the preparation and implementation of community activities.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops and trainings to help increase the capacity of implementing local-partners and volunteers in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community engagement activities.  
  • Closely monitor the implementation of partner activities from the design phase, to implementation and close out, to ensure the quality of implementation. 
  • Ensure that partner project objectives and targets are met according to the implementation work-plan. 
  • Identify problems, challenges facing project implementation in a timely manner, communicate these to Project Manager, and advise on corrective alternative actions
  • Carry out needs assessments that could advise on project expansion or new project development. 
  • Collect, validate and analyze monitoring data using internal and national databases (Activity Info), and act as M&E focal person for the project
  • Support in project budget management. 
  • Follow up with field staff to submit relevant deliverables 
  • Provide relevant project reporting 
  • Assist in project report writing
  • Other tasks as suggested by the Project
