Teacher Assistant

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Teacher Assistant is responsible for supporting the education team in the overall implementation of the education project in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. 
S/he will assist in providing Non-formal education programs to out-of-school children and/or youth. 
The candidate will closely work with refugee communities to ensure community mobilization and engagement throughout the implementation of the activities

DUTIES

  • Participates in the planning and implementation of the non-formal education activities including outreach, community mobilization, awareness session, training, basic literacy, and numeracy.
  • Identifies out-of-school children and ensures their enrolment in the program.
  • Handles work-related data entry and input.
  • Ensures proper monitoring of the implementation process of the project.
  • Supports the capacity building and learning process of the community groups.
  • Refers specific cases to different services whenever required.
  • Any other tasks required in the framework of the education program and activities.

  • 1 to 2 years of working experience in teaching preferably Arabic, English, and Mathematics
  • Experience working with refugees and other vulnerable groups
  • Experience in community mobilization
