Job Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities

• Transport staff in a safe and responsible manner when and where required by project needs.
• Collecting materials from project and suppliers and transporting it safely.
• To adhere to HelpAge International policies and procedures.
• Assist the Logistic and Admin in procurement, inventory and asset management as and when needed and in adherence to the relevant policies.
• Ability and willingness to undertake frequent trips to and from the Field, including overnight stays if required.
• Car maintenance and maintaining a travel log book for all the trips made
• Ensure that staff taking a ride in the car are complying with mandatory SOPs e.g. wearing seat belt
• Following COVID SOPs e.g. wearing masks
• Ensure that required materials related to COVID SOPs like sanitizers and masks are available in the car
• Maintaining car fuelling records
• Abiding by the traffic rules and regulations
• Commitment to working to serve humanitarian needs in line the values of integrity, service and accountability
• Other tasks or duties that may be assigned by line manager

Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience

• Valid Lebanese Driving License
• providing a four-wheel drive vehicle
• Work experience of minimum 1 year in a similar position
• Experience of minimum one year in the field of Logistics, a plus
• Experience / instinct for reacting in emergency and security situations
• Basic car maintenance knowledge
• Good organizational skills
• Knowledge of local areas in Lebanon
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Appreciating and respecting confidentiality and privacy
