Head Nurse - PHCC Tripoli

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Head Nurse is responsible for directing, organizing, and supervising the work at the PHCC, and ensuring that effective care is being provided to the beneficiary.

DUTIES:

• Manage the PHCC team and all the medical activities conducted in the center
• Control the budget of the center
• Check and control the cash and all monetary transactions
• Ensure proper implementation of the different health projects in the PHCC
• Provide nursing services and treatments
• Provide case management by being the contact person for beneficiaries
• Assess the healthcare needs of patients and families and determine the need for consultations with other services and healthcare providers
• Provide basic education and information to beneficiaries and families
• Provide awareness sessions to beneficiaries and families about health issues
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, and patient records
• Safeguard the health of children by organizing school health programs
• Assist the physicians in their consultations when needed
• Communicate with secondary and tertiary providers to ensure the continuity of care
• Complete referrals, lab requisitions, and diagnostic requisitions
• Adapt the work and services provided at the PHCC according to the ongoing projects
• Control the stock of the center and make sure that equipment and other supplies are in stock
• Delegate safely and appropriately and supervise team members
• Plan and deliver teaching for staff, students, beneficiaries, and families
• Participate in training, orientation, competency assessment, and education of new employees
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately, creating a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel
• Act in a professional manner, reflecting the mission of Caritas Primary health care Center, and demonstrate compliance with all policy and procedures
• Collaborate with the management on a regular basis
• Prepare and present monthly reports
• Attend meetings with the management
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

• 5 to 10 years relevant experience
• Experience with NGO is a plus
• Experience in community health is a plus
