MHPSS Facilitator - Bekaa Area

  • coordinating with the PSS and  Case Management  team to identify men, women, caregivers, and youth facing PSS challenges and in-need of support group activities (internal referrals), and forming support groups for these individuals
  • Participate in the mental health task force meetings
  • Coordinate with relevant agencies, bodies, and authorities – reporting information back to the Program Manager
  • Plan and implement group and individual psychosocial activities to promote mental health and wellbeing.
  • Make necessary referral to other units, programs and departments within IOM and to other stakeholders.
  • Undertake all administrative and office related to ensuring the successful implementation of tasks and the project activities
  • Work on creating a system for proper documentation
  • Attend meetings – both programmatic and technical on regular basis
  • Provide the programme manager with timely and accurate information of delivered activities and in compliance with SCI & Nabad reporting formats and timeframes.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports documents all activities and services provided.
  • Facilitate and encourage a safe, confidential, and peer-supportive environment among group participants
  • Establish rapport/trust with the community and group members
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of the data
  • Maintain the archiving system up to date (both in hard and soft copies).
  • Provide lessons learned from the field and suggest improvements regarding the activities’ implementation.
  • Refer CP, GBV and youth with special needs cases to the case manager for a professional intervention and follow up (direct intervention and/or external referral as needed).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the integrated approach of the program.
  • Undertake any other duty as may be assigned by the PM.

Education or Master's degree in in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, developmental psychology, or clinical social work.
At least 3 years of experience in development, including capacity building.
Previous coaching/counselling experience.
A strong background in livelihoods and the ability to manage the unique development objectives of multiple family initiatives are required.
Experience in program design, evaluation, and capacity building in the familial livelihood and protection space.
Comfortable in externally facing roles including advisory, advocacy and public speaking.
Experience working in the field, working in Beqaa context and with Syrian and Lebanese communities in specific is a plus.
Experience managing and/ or engaging livelihoods or social protection programs, highly preferred;
Experience as a trainer/ facilitator preferred
