Protection Outreach Worker (Bint Jbeil)

Generic Duties:

• The position’s responsibilities will comprise:
• Multi-dimensional/Sectorial activities pertaining to needs in the protection sectors as identified by donor.
• Carry out info desk as directed and according to donor standard operating procedures as well as Logistic works when needed.
• Carry out Household Visits
• Carry out Household Surveys
• Conduct interviews with key informants
• Protection referrals
• Carry out site community groups
• Carry out participatory assessments
• Submitting data, reporting on incidents and trends (Weekly and Monthly)
• Coordinate with local authorities and local municipalities

Specific Duties:

• Work as mobile/outreach team to identify, register and analyze beneficiaries’ specifics needs taking record of the vulnerabilities (i.e. community mobilization, field assessments, data analysis, report writing, etc.);
• Develop a community approach to ensure a confidence in donor process and project.
• Report on a regular basis to donor field unit respecting the reporting lines and mechanism.
• Refer all cases identified internally to the working team.
• Refer all cases identified externally in case no appropriate and immediate response to needs could be given by SHEILD
• Share with the other team members the cases located outside of your area of intervention.
• Compile data and submit high quality structured reports with as per given schedule.
• Knowledge of donor protection principals is an asset.
• Report and refer incidents and protection cases through donor referral pathways.
• Provide info sessions when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Psychology, social work…)
• Good communication and facilitation skills
• Self-management
• Mission orientation
• Teamwork
• English and Arabic (written, read and spoken)
• Basic Computer Skills
• Clean criminal record is a MUST
• Availability of Drivers License
• Vaccination of COVID -19 is a MUST
