Open Vacancy: Community Engagement Coordinator

KW is a feminist organization based in Beirut that works on storytelling and oral history, researching women’s stories and histories, developing and making accessible more feminist resources.

This position is expected to increase the reach and the impact of KW through:

• Thinking strategically about outreach and impact
• Connecting with different communities, individuals and groups in Lebanon through ongoing and new KW projects
• Engaging writers, researchers and artists, among others, for ongoing and future KW projects
• Increasing the reach of KW’s Feminist Library
• Increasing the dissemination of KW resources to different communities through workshops and discussions
• Contributing to the development of KW content and resources based on engagements with different communities

Qualifications:

• MA in Humanities or Social Sciences (or equivalent years of experience)

• No less than three years of experience in coordination, community engagement, and/or offline and online communications
• Demonstrated skills in strategic thinking and ability to think creatively

Strong interpersonal skills and preparedness to communicate with different groups across Lebanon, and possibly with funders

• Familiarity with feminism and feminist organizing in Lebanon
• Familiarity with feminist writing and organizing in the region is a plus
• Residence in Lebanon, and fluency in Arabic, are required for this position.
