JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will play an essential role in supporting the quality and timely implementation of a youth employability and business development project. The tasks include providing recommendations for sustainable growth of the businesses involved in the project and identifying business opportunities for their growth.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
He/she will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting Individual livelihoods plans; focusing on 1) agriculture and agri-food; 2) construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), rehabilitation, and interior repairs; 3) digital and information and communication technology (ICT).
- Providing Business and Marketing Trainings; and serving as a mentor, coach and guide to project staff and beneficiaries as well as develop presentations for capacity building, particularly with regards to technical issues
- Conducting Business Assessments of the selected MSMEs; and proposing an operation and management plan, financial plan and a sustainability plan to maintain financial balance for the project operations. In addition, provide them with business development support to scale up their production and retain capacitated youth in their businesses
- Coaching the selected youth on self-employment and entrepreneurship; and assuring technical guidance relevant to socio-economic development for stakeholders.
- Overseeing the technical quality of the TVET activities; evaluating and analyzing the outcome of the results.
- Developing learning materials and guidance to staff and stakeholders on best practices for community liaison and engagement reaching out to diverse audiences and client groups.
- Conducting evaluations on the performance of socio-economic deliverables and outputs, the effect and impact of the community project on population of the targeted area and the surrounding areas.
- Conducting roundtable discussions with project stakeholders to display results in order to be rectified and advising of problems encountered.
- Providing advice, support, and plans to staff. These tools may include but are not limited to plan operations procedures and processes.
- Assist with the development and delivery of resources for the sustainability of the project.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Post graduate degree in International Development, Business Management, Business Economics, Public Administration, or any other relevant fields.
- At least 5 years of similar experience in relevant field is desirable.
- Prior similar responsibility in or outside Lebanon.
- Have previous experience in Lebanon and previous similar responsibilities in implementing similar context projects and activities.

- Project planning, organizing and management techniques
- Ability to successfully initiate and maintain positive relationships with communities and NGOs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in team environment
- Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus
- Excellent reporting, communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer applications skills.
