JOB OVERVIEW

OBJECTIVE

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is looking for a skilled intern (3 days per week), which will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of several projects, communication campaigns, public and internal online and offline events with the support of the Communications department. The project assistant will help the projects manager in ensuring that the projects’ activities, objectives and financials are met in accordance with plan commitments and requirements. The projects assistant will have to help the projects manager in maintaining the coordination with the Communications, Medical and HR teams, and with external agencies/stakeholders such as university students and networks, artists, experts and other. Also, the projects assistant has a role to play in being engaged in the evaluation process and suggesting changes and improvements to the manager and the team.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Proactively assist the project manager in providing the administrative and logistical support for all the planned projects and outreach policy that are in line with MSF LB strategy
  • Coordinate with the unit’s managers in the communication department under the supervision of the director of the department
  • Assist in implementing the projects intended to be executed throughout the year
  • Assisting in the planning for online (internal and external), and offline webinars
  • Follow up with potential internal and external stakeholders on calls and meetings
  • Maintain internal information flow on the diverse projects
  • Maintain project documentation on internal platforms (Sharepoint)
  • Report and escalate to management any issues as needed

 

Qualifications

  • University student or a bachelor’s Degree in a relevant or related area of study or equivalent work experience
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Arabic & English
  • Strong planning skills
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience working with NGOs is a plus
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Word Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc
