- About DRI
Democracy Reporting International (DRI) is a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organisation registered in Berlin. It has been established in Lebanon since 2016. DRI promotes political participation of citizens, accountability of state bodies and the development of democratic institutions worldwide. Democratic discourse is the basis of our mission and vision. In our work, we facilitate discussion and exchange about democratic government and the need for a continuous discourse adhering to democratic rules.
In the framework of its Lebanon project “A bottom-up reform agenda for Lebanon: Supporting youth, women, and civil society actors to expand civic space”, DRI is empowering civic actors, particularly women and youth to participate in the political process and is engaging civic and public actors in political and legal reform to advance a good governance agenda.
- Assignment Overview
DRI is looking to hire a Strategic Communications company to review DRI Lebanon’s performance in communicating its work and advise on how to design and implement effective approaches, outputs, and formats that promote DRI in a consistent way while catering to the interests and sentiments of multiple target audience. The company should identify success elements to drive the growth of DRI Lebanon’s online and offline presence.
The company will help DRI Lebanon to engage and interact better with its audience and build a community of supporters.
Your Deliverables
DRI is interested in receiving applications from established and experienced companies:
Under the supervision of and in close coordination with DRI, the selected company will:
- Monitor and assess DRI Lebanon’s communications from an external viewer’s perspective;
- Support the development and continuous adjustment of DRI Lebanon’s communications in line with the assignment’s objectives;
- Continuously analyse DRI Lebanon’s social media performance, possibly through a SWOT exercise, and provide actionable recommendations and milestones to optimise DRI Lebanon’s offline and online presence;
- Develop and advise on the implementation of a communications framework that links DRI’s projects together and connects them with the relevant audiences and beneficiaries to promote DRI in a consistent way, based on good practices and evidence or data collected from multiple platforms (online and offline);
- Develop a mitigation plan for reputational crisis management;
- Identify marketing, copywriting, and postproduction tools;
- Attend regular review sessions with DRI Lebanon to discuss recommendations and take stock of the progress made.
Your Skills & Experience
Applicants should demonstrate that they can fulfil the requested tasks and that the implementing staff members and/or consultants meet the following profile:
- A Lebanon-based company registered in Lebanon ;
- Experts with an advanced university degree in mass communications, digital marketing, media studies, or other relevant fields.
- Experts with at least 7 years of experience in strategic communications, social media management/analysis, and content creation;
- Ability to produce high-quality deliverables and in a timely manner while understanding and anticipating the evolving needs of audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and under pressure utilising initiative;
- Writing and working proficiency in Arabic and English.

The company will be evaluated 70% on their technical application and 30% on their financial offer (see Annex I – Technical and Financial Evaluation Form).
