Social Workers Supervisor

Project Description:

  • WPA is looking for an experienced social worker to follow up the work of the eight social workers in the WPA centers in the Palestinian camp, the SW’s give be-weekly life skills sessions in all centers, the WPA have listening rooms in the centers to receive the cases who are at risk in the camp.
  • WPA have 4 clinical psychologists in the centers give PSS activities, awareness sessions and capacity building .

Tasks and deliverables

  • Oversee the work of eight social workers in eight Woman Program Centers in the Palestinian  camps, in specific:
    • Review the monthly activity plan of the social workers to ensure compliance with the project deliverables;
    • Organize team meetings and individual follow-up with social workers to supervise the day-to-day implementation of the plan;
    • Provide technical support to social workers on low and medium risk cases and ensure application of guiding principles of safety, confidentiality and informed consent Ensure proper coordination between the social workers and the clinical psychologists on common activities and referred cases;
    • Support social workers to regular update and review referral pathways and service mapping for each camp/center location 
  • Physically attend selected activities of the social workers and provide feedback and guidance to them.   
  • Oversee accurate and confidential collection of data on cases and referrals as well as activities (awareness sessions and life skills) and other data requested by the donor;
  • Schedule monthly visits to camps and share plan with project coordinator;
  • Draft and submit monthly report;
  • Any other duty as may be assigned

Conditions of service and Management

  • The duration of the contract is based on the below mentioned deliverables, with the expected start date of 15-03-2022.
  • The contracts for the local contractors are made by WPA according to its rules and regulations. The contractor will report to the Project Coordinator Ms. Sherihan Edelbe based in WPA’s Head office in Beirut.
  • Contractors should maintain a training report and comply with all other WPA regulations such as checklists and invoices. The WPA management retains the right to suspend payment on non-compliance of terms or in the event of poor-quality work. These decisions will not be taken arbitrarily but in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Remuneration: The salary value will be USD 600 per month plus USD 150 transportation for 11 months.
