About DRI:
Democracy Reporting International (DRI) is a non-partisan, independent, not-for-profit organisation registered in Berlin. It has been established in Lebanon since 2016. DRI promotes political participation of citizens, accountability of state bodies and the development of democratic institutions worldwide. Democratic discourse is the basis of our mission and vision. In Lebanon, DRI is working to expand the democratic space for a civil society-led debate on system change.
We are looking to hire an experienced contractor to execute the design prepared of the studio of Nafas Jdeed talk show – season 2 in a maximum period of 3 weeks. The contractor will implement the design drawings for a functional, inspirational, and eye-pleasing space to become the set/studio where Nafas Jdeed season 2 will take place (refer to Annex I). Key Responsibilities:
Under DRI’s supervision and in daily coordination with the DRI focal points, you will:
- Mobilise qualified and well experienced manager/engineer and site supervisor.
- Work closely with the production team and DRI staff to understand and analyse the talk show’s set/studio drawings and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) (refer to Annexes I-II-III).
- Prepare a work plan specifying the different activities and works to be executed on the ground.
- Execute the detailed architectural drawings of the talk show set/studio taking into consideration the exact specifications required within the BoQ.
- Procure the specified objects/items as mentioned in the detailed drawings and BoQ such as furniture, wall hangings, picture frames, greeneries, etc.
- Ensure that the set is free of debris and hazardous materials/objects.
- Prepare and continuously monitor the cost expenses of the works to be implemented as per the prepared plans.
- Oversee and manage the implementation of the works on ground based on the prepared plans.
- Relate the set implementation to the branding image of the talk show.
- Commit to the start and delivery dates agreed with DRI.
Note: The quotation should not exceed a total budget of 13,000 Euro.
Key Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Excellent knowledge of set implementation, and/or interior design execution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction and Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management and coordination.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Creative mindset and artistic personality.
- Technical understanding of lighting, photography, and filming is a plus.
- Contacts with furniture galleries and set items’ sellers is a must.
