As part of INTERSOS's community-based initiatives (CBI) that aim at empowering women and mitigating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) within the Nabatieh Governorate, a new CBI is launched within the district of Hasbaya whereby women who have not been admitted to school due to gender inequality will be enrolled in a Basic Literacy initiative where they can learn the basics of the Arabic language such as learning the Arabic alphabets, reading and writing them.
Tasks Required:
- Prepare and plan for the Basic Literacy curriculum and set it within a timed and organized work plan (for a period of one month).
- Manage the group of women who will be attending the CBI including communication, follow up and logistics.
- Deliver the Basic Literacy sessions with high quality and ethical standards.
- Report on the sessions, the progress of the initiative and the rising challenges if any.
Deliverables:
- Basic Literacy Curriculum
- Work Plan for one month
- Delivery of the Basic Literacy sessions to two groups in Hasbaya (15 women per group)
- Each of the two groups will receive 12 sessions (2 hours per session), which amounts to a total of 24 hours per group.
INTERSOS will provide the venue where the sessions will take place.
