MEAL Officer (NDA)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the projects Monitoring and Evaluation strategy, including data collection methods and reporting deadlines
  • Validate beneficiaries related data received from various sources, through a combination of phone calls and/or household visits and support registration for the programme
  • Collect key background and socio-economic household and beneficiary information required for programme monitoring and evaluation through the distribution of household surveys through phone calls and-or household visits
  • Collect, review, track, and resolve beneficiaries' complaints
  • Conduct satisfaction survey with the beneficiaries 1 month after the completion of the program to measure their satisfaction and the impact of the program
  • Provide relevant timely updates on targets (reports) against the project Logical Framework
  • Implement indicators set by the direct manager and coordinate with project/field staff to collect data against these.
  • Provide project/field staff with Monitoring and Evaluation tools and support them in their use.
  • Implement across different project components to report effectiveness of Monitoring and Evaluation implementation to the MEAL manager and Project coordinator
  • Conduct field visits to report project progress;
  • Participate in Focus Groups, establish complaints mechanisms, conduct interviews, coach on  questionnaires and surveys usage
  • Assist with periodic statistical reports: monthly/quarterly or annual according to MS and UNICEF requirements

 

 

Working conditions

  • The MEAL Officer will operate under the supervision of MEAL Manager, in constant cooperation with Head of center
  • The MEAL Officer will be based in North, Akkar, Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Beqaa, Baalbeck, South, or Nabatieh area

• At least two years of relevant work experience in the design and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation system for development or humanitarian projects; preferably in social policy and advocacy
• Advanced University Degree preferably in Project Management, administration, or social science
• Excellent understanding of Lebanon ecosystem (knowledge in CP is a plus)
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills,
• Good analytical and report writing skills,
• Developed skills with computer applications including word and Excel in particular,
• Advanced communication skills,
• Excellent command of both written and oral Arabic and English or French
• Excellent knowledge in Monitoring and Evaluation methodologies
