Radiology Technician - Makassed Hospital

•   Job Objective:

Perform diagnostic imaging examinations in the Cath Lab, Radiology department, Women Center like X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans. 

• Main Tasks:
• Follows imaging procedures (X-Ray, CT scan, MRI, mammography, Osteo) by adjusting equipment’s to correct settings for each examination, and instructs patients about the positions and the exam procedure.
• Ensures before each X-Ray, CT scan and MRI, procedure that there is no Contra-indication such as pregnancy, allergy, metallic foreign body etc. ….
• Develops films by automatic CR processing ( CR room and laser process )
• Operates mobile X-ray equipment in the operating room, ICU, or at bedside
• Observes patient and machine during X-ray, CT scan, MRI, mammography and osteodensitometry procedures with respect of special procedure concerning old patients, children, unconscious patient...
• Minimizes radiation amount to the patient , by avoiding repetition of exams
• Coordinates with the outpatient billing officers about the codes of the exams performed
• Coordinates in patient transportation service to and from the radiology department
• Ensures that the patient filled the written information’s and signed it
• Ask the main clinical symptoms concerning the exam
• Evaluates the degree of emergency
• Escorts the patient in the examination room

• Requirements:

• B.S in Radiologic Sciences.
• Previous experience in the same field would be a plus
• License to Practice
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
• The ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment.

• Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Flexibility to work on weekends and On Calls, when requested.
