LOST is seeking to recruit an Development Officer in baalbeck -Hermel
Job Summary:
The Development officer will provide mentorship and counseling to business owners so that they can bridge skill, managerial, legal and financial gaps. The business consultant will work together with LOST staff to ensure smooth flow of business consultancy
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the development of entrepreneurship development SOPs
- Screen and select MSMEs who will receive relevant business support
- Assess MSMEs skill gaps and specific needs for training and support (legal, financial, HR, marketing, planning, feasibility analysis, networking, etc.)
- Support selected MSMEs in the development of a tailored business model/plan
- Network with other business development service providers (incubators, accelerators, financial institutions) in order to ensure MSMEs sustainability over time
- Monitor MSMEs progress over time and adjust the business models if needed
- Support beneficiaries creating a business model
- Support beneficiaries creating a business plan
- Provide real time business support to startup
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, or any other related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in entrepreneurship/enterprise development and project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of international humanitarian and development programme development.
- Previous experience in the development of feasibility analyses and business plans.
- Understanding and knowledge of economic development and recovery principles.
- Good knowledge of project monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of the implemented activities and an ability to maintain cooperative, professional relationships with donors, partners and peer organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently as required.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good time management and self-management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
