Research Chemist at the American University of Beirut Aerosol Research Laboratory (AUB-ARL) and Analytical and Atmospheric Laboratory (AAL).

The AUB-ARL and AAL are seeking applicants for the position of a research chemist who will work on various multidisciplinary projects related to tobacco and non tobacco products. The projects are funded by the National Institute of Health to help inform public health regulation.

The research chemist will assist in various analytical lab procedures that involve tobacco and non tobacco product analysis. S/He will receive training in generating and sampling aerosol and in analytical chemistry techniques needed for the studies.

Ideal candidates:

• have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry or a related field
• have at least one year of lab experience
• have good scientific writing skills and speaks English well

Initial appointments will be for one year, with expectation for renewal after the first year.
