Job Summary:
The project coordinator manages the “Education Champion Network” project team with the coordination of resources, equipment, meetings, and information. He/she organizes the project with the goal of getting it completed on time and within budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
- Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensure project deadlines are met.
- Determine project changes.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Undertake project tasks as required.
- Develop project strategies.
- Ensure that the project adheres to the frameworks and that all documentation is maintained appropriately.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
- Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
Background and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or any other related field) as a minimum
- 5 years of professional working experience with NGOs/INGOs, especially in project management and/or the education field.
- Communication and reporting skills, preferably from a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong character traits, including team work, striving for high performance, emotional stability, resilience, adaptability, and ability to handle stress, strong initiative and self-motivation, cultural and gender sensitivity.
- Working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, and making decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Positively influencing team members to achieve results that are in the best interest of the beneficiaries.
- Having detail-oriented reporting skills.
- Performing under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding policies.
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft office – all applications
- Software applications required for daily operations
