Programme Intern

The intern will provide technical and research support to Greenpeace MENA’s Campaigner. This will allow the intern to take part in the development of Greenpeace MENA’s strategic, technical and scientific reports. 

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Research work for campaigning purposes 
• Writing and editing of technical and scientific reports 
• Support on training workshops, webinars and other events 
• Monitoring of external consultants/contractors
• Coordination of field activities 
• Fact checking, 
• Administering online platform,
• Communicating and coordinating with youth and environmental groups across the region, 
• Support and follow up on the development of multimedia for the promotion of campaigns,

Requirements

• Strong research skills 
• Be knowledgeable on key environmental issues (climate change, renewable energy, biodiversity...) 
• Comfortable working in a multicultural environment 
• Comfortable with promoting an idea and defending an argument 
• Good at multitasking 
• Willing to learn new skills, and share your skills with others 
• Interest in and awareness of environmental issues 

Qualification

Language: Fluency in oral and written Arabic is mandatory. Good English. French would be a plus.

GP MENA internships program offers interns a better understanding of the organization's goals and objectives and insight into how an international organisation operates in  a multicultural environment and allows them to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing skills which will be useful for their career and future employment. 

Our internships are meant for students or recent graduates who have completed their studies less than 2 years ago.
