The Opportunity
As a member of the Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) team, the FSL Coordinator under the supervision of the FSL Manager will oversee on the implementation of the FSL projects in all modalities (Cash, In-kind, Vocational Training, and Income Generation Activities).
S/he will ensure that the FSL intervention is of the highest technical quality, that monitoring processes for local organizations are in place, that reporting is high-quality and timely, and that the programme is continually assessed and solutions quickly put in place for any changes in local context.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, International Relations, Development studies, Nutrition,
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in development programs, preferably working in food security and & livelihoods, Eco-Sec, or Basic Assistance
- Experience in working with local organizations and local communities
- Experience in data management/analysis platforms (asset)
- Experience in field work and community mobilization
- Experience in Facilitating trainings (asset)
- Computer skills (especially Excel)
- Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment
- Available to travel in country
- Food Security, Public Health, or similar fields
- Good time management skills
- Ability to adhere to ethical considerations and principles with regard to work with vulnerable populations
- Commitment to Save the Children values and Child Safeguarding
