A finance officer maintains financial control of the day-to-day operations within financial services as well as maintaining and updating accounting procedures and delegations, preparing monthly reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of the annual financial statements.
Detailed Job Description
Predicts future financial trends
Reports to management and stakeholders, and provides advice on how the organization future decisions might be impacted
Produces financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc
Develops long-term plans based on these reports
Reviews, monitors, and manages budgets
Develops strategies that work to minimize financial risk
Assists in the preparation of budgets
Manages records and receipts, oversees the reconciliation of daily, monthly, and yearly transactions, and the preparation of balance sheets
Reviews and implements financial policies
Develops in-depth knowledge of organizational services and processes
Resolves financial disputes raised by different stakeholders
Handles a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
perform any additional tasks, when requested by the Head of operations.

Skills/Traits
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and regulations
Excellent analytical and numerical skills and attention to details, as well as excellent time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Experience in ERP Dynamics 365 Navision system.
CMA/CFA/CPA certificate is a plus
Proven 2-3 years work experience as a finance officer in NNGO/INGO
