Drama/theatre workshop

Areas of responsibility:

Part of its community-based interventions, AND is looking to implement a workshop for children to introduce them to arts and expose them to several techniques. Accordingly, AND is looking for a trainer on the following:

• Introducing the art of making puppets.
• Providing the skills of presenting puppet shows.
• Providing stories to dramatize (the characters, the stories, scenarios...)
• Providing puppet theatres (Puppets are usually given names, characters and personalities to make them more believable, fun and easier to relate with, making some puppet characters very loveable are enduring and timeless in their appeal).
• Designing and making the puppets and the theatre.
• Introducing the art of photography and giving tips and insight as to the best way to take photos.
• Providing the technique of taking photos with camera.
• Psychosocial activities for the children.
• Introducing child rights.
• Doing activities concerning the topic “child abuse”.
• Doing activities concerning the topic “animal abuse”.
• Bringing in an actor or any other inspirational speaker who inspires the children with his/her career and experience.

Reporting

The Trainer shall report to the project manager.
