The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering- RDFL is seeking an Executive Director who plays the overall regulator of all RDFL staff.
Role description:
ED plays the overall regulator of all RDFL staff. ED’s job is to ensure achieving RDFL’s strategy, by
distributing tasks among the executive team to be able to ensure financial and human resources are
used efficiently. ED will ensure smooth relations and linkage between RDFL representatives (National and
branches) and the Executive team. ED reports to the board.
Key responsibilities
Director:
● Act as a liaison between Board Members and Executive Staff, thus embodying RDFL’s policies, performance regulation, and policy content, following up reports, and linking implementation to decisions
● Develop the execution plan with the Board based on the Strategic Plan
● Oversee all day-to-day operations of RDFL and its employees
●Oversee the work of departments and monitor activities
●Develop the general framework of programs and activities and oversee implementation after the board’s approval of these programs/activities
●Perform evaluations of Department/Programs Managers based on a clear performance evaluation mechanism and submit to the President, in accordance with the HR policy. Reflect on human resources promotions.
●Effectively lead, manage and develop relevant staff, with respect to recruitment, appraisals, performance, and personal development in collaboration with the HR coordinator
●Prepare analysis reports, advise and prepare plans for the board on a strategic level
●Review and scrutinize quality policies.
●Ensure all rules, regulations, and policies of RDFL are respected by all staff
●Manage all RDFL’s programs and projects, assist with program administration, and ensure the quality of all services
●Oversee the programs/projects’ budget preparation process and present the final budget to the Board
●Provide leadership and assistance in resolving issues regarding staff and beneficiaries
●Ensure that opportunities for grant aid for RDFL are optimized and work with the fundraising experts to develop proposals to ensure continuous programming
●Act as the head of the Fundraising Committee. Oversee the process of proposal writing and ensure that it fulfils its purpose in a high-quality manner in addition to proper documentation
●Provide RDFL’s board with regular status reports (Monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually) and during board meetings
●Manage quality delivery of narrative reports to donors, and oversee financial reports submitted to donors.
●Represent RDFL in external meetings and events that are related to projects and donors and that are assigned by board members.

Requirements for the position
Key competencies
● Fluent in Arabic and English (Oral and written). French is a plus.
● Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, basic software
applications and familiarity with the internet and email communications
● Very good interpersonal and communication skills
● High motivation, networking skills, and conflict management skills
Educational qualifications/ experience
● A master’s degree in NGO Management, social science, business administration, or related
discipline
● At least 5 years of professional experience in Executive Management, NGO management, or related
field
● Strong track record of past performance in positions of leadership with the ability to motivate and
generate respect and trust from staff and external stakeholders
