Finance & Compliance Coordinator

 

Finance and Compliance Coordinator promote ethical conduct and compliance with rules, regulations and standard processes that govern how financial services organizations should conduct business.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

He is responsible with guidance and supervision from the head of grants for the overall coordination of all proposal development, overviewing and supporting with the timely implementation of CL’s grants while maintaining high quality in delivering the services.

He should support CL’s Project Coordinators and Grants Management Unit.

He Ensures information gathering, sharing and archiving to facilitate capturing of lessons learned and feedback loops to continually build on and improve program implementation and development.

DUTIES

  • Participate in supervising financial reports before sending to the donors.
  • Participate in writing new budget proposals.
  • Participate in planning, forecasting, cash flow planning and analysis of the newly acquired projects.
  • Work on collecting field and system expenditures to build the internal financial report.
  • Work on compiling the project trackers for all Caritas projects that falls under the GMU.
  • Organize archiving all files, documents, checklists and related documentation.
  • Advise and support field staff on the documents required.
  • Ensure that procedures and supporting documents are implemented and in compliance with the donors and caritas guidelines.
  • Manage the petty cash handling within Caritas field centers.
  • Participate in gathering some research and information upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.

ACADEMIC EDUCATION

  • University degree related to Humanitarian and Project Management

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • At least 3-4 years of experience performing required tasks under institutional donors-funded programs
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic, including report developing, writing and editing
  • Relevant experience in contracts and Grants Management
  • Significant experience of working in humanitarian programs
  • Good understanding of structure and processes in NGOs 
  • Experience of Project Management and Project Cycle Management, including project design, implementation and evaluation
  • Strong understanding of the project cycle and of M&E systems
