PROJECT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As basic needs of refugees and vulnerable host communities are increasing due to the economic crisis, along with inter and intra communities’ tensions, and the need for long-term solutions, an integrated approach that answers all problems is of at most importance. Hence, HOPe intervention will use the Triple Nexus approach to integrate peacebuilding, development, and aid support within the same project. The emergency intervention is designed in a fully participatory way with local community groups and NGOs, and based on HOPe previous peacebuilding and development work in the selected areas.
HOPe will capitalise on established networks, existing efforts, and response mechanisms to ensure proper response to emerging needs.

Focal Point:
Job Brief:
The Focal Point is part of the Social Peace Unit/ ANER Project that is entrusted with supporting the development of community-based dialogue initiatives with local communities. Also, she is responsible for supporting the women from several marginalised communities in Jabal Mohsen and Tebbaneh areas to promote/ develop center-based social peace initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Activity/Field Roles:
Center Management: To organise plan and coordinate all the activities, workshops, initiatives, monthly events in the center, including all tracking/ reporting entailed tools (Attendance sheets, staff time sheet…etc).
Social Peace Plan Workshop (SPPW) Co/Trainer: To assist in delivering SPPW with local community groups, and preparing logistics, reports, and all required documents (Attendance sheets, Baseline/ Endline assessments, Workshop data form and follow up sessions).
Familiar with procurement processes and documentation of the approved PRs: To support and purchase materials for the initiatives/ center when needed and preparing PRs.
Representation, collaboration and resource base development:
- Collaborate, as relevant, with the Program coordinator of ANIR project.
- Represent HOPe at the Meetings
- Maintain contacts with all partners of HOPe in Tripole State delegations, as relevant and appropriate, and develop regular contact with NGOs and academics working with gender perspectives in this field.
- Weekly meetings with the volunteers for regular follow up on tasks. Ensure delivering required trainings for the volunteers by HOPE staff.
Support Roles:
Meeting Notetaker: To write the reports of roundtables, and other attended events or team meetings in Arabic or English.
Reporting: to report on the center activities on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, as well as contributing to develop a set of reporting and M&E tools
Eco Friend: To promote and support eco-friendly practices at HOPe office/ center in particular and the field of work in general.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Good spirit.
- Bachelor Degree in a relative field.
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in humanitarian programs.
- Perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
- Notable time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in partnership with local communities and NGOs.
- Teamwork and cooperative attitude.
- Problem solving, and communication skills.
- Good computing skills.
