1. Project Context and Scope:

IOM Lebanon is implementing a project titled, Introducing Covid-19 Rapid Tests(Ag-RDTs) in Mobile and Conflict Affected Populations. The objective of the project is to identify good practices and guidance on optimal use of rapid antigen tests in displacement settings, by assessing strengths and limitations in the deployment of tests in the conflict displaced population settings in Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. . By accessing catalytic support from FIND (the Global alliance for diagnostics), while capturing synergies with and utilizing structures set-up within the Global Fund Middle East Response grant (MER), the overall objective will be achieved through interlinked and mutually reinforcing outcomes and outputs.

2. Tasks to be performed under this contract

• Assist in conducting a desk review of the Covid-19 situation, documentation of the current challenges for Covid-19 testing and develop a guidance document on the optimal use of antigen RDTs in Lebanon.

• Provide technical day to day support for the rollout of antigen RDTs and establish a context-specific recording and reporting system to document the use of antigen RDTs. 

• Assist in developing an operational research protocol to assess the sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive value of antigen RDTs under routine programmatic settings, support data collection, conduct data analysis, and draft scientific manuscript for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal on the observed sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values of antigen RDTs among various displaced populations. 
• Assist in developing an operational research protocol to document the uptake and yield of Covid-19 patients by using antigen RDTs in various sub-populations, support data collection, conduct data analysis, and draft a scientific manuscript for publications in a peer-reviewed scientific journal
• Assist in the lifecycle of research projects as requested by the technical Officer.
