Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and field activities conducted on daily basis.
- Ensure all activities are implemented properly with guidance of the Field coordinator.
- Ensure teachers are attending to classes and operating the face to face teaching as per AA approach.
- Ensure teachers are conducting the remote teaching activities as planned and collecting the data to track the learners’ activities.
- Guide the educators to identify and work with children with disabilities, families and communities.
- Provide training, mentoring and methodological support and guidance to teachers on including children with disabilities in learning (identifying special education needs, teaching techniques and teaching strategies for inclusion)
- Conduct special education needs assessment process of the learners or if necessary refers to formal assessment, for receiving specialized services or special needs supplies
- Oversee the organization of specialized services for children with disabilities as necessary
- Plan activities or support measures that are specific to each student’s abilities, supports finding solution to remove barriers
- Monitor the progress of the mainstream learners and the learners with special education needs and discuss with teachers and parents
- Collect data and maintain records of progress and development
- Ensure the correct reporting on disabilities in Activity Info, Child Level Monitoring Tool, and narrative reports.
- Provide support and guidance to the teachers and families and ensures their engagement in teachers/family engagement activities
- Make a recommendation on the pathway for the child after completion of the NFE program.
- Liaise with the PSS department for identification of children in need of referrals on RiMS.
- Participate in child protection and education sector meetings
- Participate in organized trainings
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- A university degree, in education, special education, psychology, social pedagogy, or other relevant areas
- At least two years of professional experience in NFE field work/ special education or inclusive education
- Proficient in Arabic and English
