- Provision of awareness sessions on family planning, sexual and reproductive health, personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene and contraceptives, maternal and prenatal and antenatal health/care, comprehension of neonatal care, female genital mutilation, sexually transmitted and reproductive tract infections, infertility and more topics as deemed necessary
- Provision of general recommendations to caregivers
- Guiding new parents in the daily care for their newborns, helping parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death
- Informing mothers about the importance of breastfeeding, vaccination, and possible complications resulting from harmful traditional practices, as well as needed documents required (birth certificate, vaccination card…)
- Ensuring respect for participants’ rights to privacy and confidentiality
- Ensuring timely referral for cases in need of medical support, while avoiding provision of medical advice and/or provision of medication and/or prescriptions
- Perform all activities in compliance with the relevant protocols and best practices
- Adhere to URDA’s code of conduct
