Eligibility Criteria: Minimum age of 27 years old and up to 80 years. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment. This assignment is reserved for Persons with Disabilities.
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Policy Officer, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Programmatic
1. Engagement in the planning, implementation, and advocacy on disability inclusion activities
2. Support in community engagement activities such as: compiling feedback from community-based helpdesks, organising community consultations through focus group discussions and surveys, coordinate field visits and tracking recommendations highlighted in the back to office reports
3. Support the protection officer in service mapping for referral of persons with disabilities
Reporting and Administrative
1. Monitor and update progress in the implementation team workplans
2. Compile weekly progress reports and monthly situational reports
3. Tracking expenditure plans and supporting in procurement processes
Accessibility measures in place:
Main entrance, Office spaces, Office equipment, Facilities signposted, Sign language
- For visual impairment, some workaround may be explored:
- Large prints by increasing fonts on the document.
- Screen-reader options are available in the Microsoft Edge for PDF and Microsoft application suite for word documents.
- However, the other components as braille note-takers are not available. - Our readiness for hearing impairment is yet to be developed
Living Conditions for national Volunteers:
At the office level, WFP Lebanon already have some considerations on physical workspaces, such as disability friendly lifts and toilets, which facilitate easy access and convenient mobility. We are committed to make any accommodation as required.
