EoI 83413178 Architectural consultancy firm specialized in educational facilities for South Lebanon, Nabatieh, Bekaa, and Baalback-Hermel - SUFA

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is currently implementing its project Sustainable facility management at public schools (SUFA) in Lebanon. As part of this project GIZ intends to award a contract for an architectural consultancy firm specialized in educational facilities to design, plan and supervise “green school” measures at 8 to10 locations simultaneously, located in the following governorates: South Lebanon, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalback-Hermel, and Baaklin. The scope of work includes:

1. Design and plan outdoor educational spaces: covered and open playgrounds, outdoor classrooms, school gardens, and environmental measures related to water and energy, in addition to indoor co-curricular spaces, for Lebanese public schools.
2. Coordinate, monitor and supervise the construction works at Lebanese public schools.
   Please note that planning for all schools shall be done simultaneously.

Tender procedure, from invitation to tender until signing of contract, is expected to take place between July 2022 and September 2022. Shortlisted companies will be able to take part in the tender but only one company will be granted the award for all schools under one contract. Consulting services are expected to be performed and completed approximately within 24 months from signing of contract (including liability period).

To qualify for consideration in the tender procedure, interested companies are required to submit the following information and documents for eligibility assessment:

1. Official letter expressing interest.
2. Filled EOI Questionnaire.
3. Copy of company registration certificate / commercial circular.
4. Copy of valid OEA registration
5. Short CVs for the key staff.
6. References of works with pictures of at least 3 projects of similar nature (planned and/or executed projects) as specified above, performed within the last five (5) years by the company – Please limit this document to maximum 8 pages A4 format of selected projects only (do not present the entire portfolio of the company).
7. Tax registration number at the ministry of finance of the company and/or VAT registration number.
