Advocacy & Research Facilitator

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

The A&R (Advocacy & Research) unit at Basmeh & Zeitooneh is looking for a part-time Advocacy & Research
Facilitator (15-20hours/week) to help assist the unit as it grows, stay on track with its main donors, and enhance its
funding relationship with them. As well as to liaison between internal departments/units at Basmeh & Zeitooneh to
ensure the flow of communication and work synergy. Moreover, the assistant will help in filling technical
documents and materials that are grant-related (financial documents and budgets...) and submit them on time to our
partners and attend regular donor meetings, and organize the A&R unit's events and activities.

Main tasks:
● Attend donor meetings with the line manager.
● Organize the A&R unit's spending and budgets
● Submit donor-related materials on time (As required)
● Liaise with other B&Z units, such as M&E and Protection in order to ensure constant follow-up on
advocacy components in various projects
● Conduct data analysis of our qualitative research
● Write and assist in the drafting of proposals and policy papers
● Ensure that A&R is on track with all donor requirements in conjunction with the grants and finance units
● Follow up with donors and partners on A&R-related commitments

• data analysis both for the Advocacy & Research Unit, as well as the Monitoring & Evaluation Unit

This position is hybrid, the candidate must be located in Lebanon with the ability to work both from home and the Basmeh & Zeitooneh office.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience conducting research and data analysis (added background in Monitoring & Evaluation is a plus), as well as experience in grant and proposal writing is a must.
• The Facilitator will report back regularly and mainly to the Line Manager, who is the Head of Advocacy (Ralph Haddad), and will work in conjunction with the on-site Advocacy & Research Officer on relevant projects.
