Job Title: AUB-NCC Assistant Director

Department: AUB – Nature Conservation Center (AUB-NCC)

Position

A full-time Assistant Director to assist the Director in the development of the center by taking charge of the educational outreach, creating partnerships and engaging AUB faculty and students in the center’s projects.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Director will have to:

• Oversee investments and fundraising efforts
• Assist the Director with developing and implementing strategies aiming to promote the center's mission and vision
• Assist the Director with projects and initiatives by completing assigned tasks
• Monitor activities assigned to other staff members
• Take charge of the educational outreach of the center by organizing educational workshops and learning sessions
• Engage AUB Faculty and Students in the different projects and opportunities
• Create partnerships with potential stakeholders
• Update the center's policies and create new ones

Qualifications

• Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques
• Proven experience as Assistant Director or in other managerial position
• Experience in developing strategies and plans
• Outstanding organization and leadership abilities
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills
• Knowledge of academic setting is a plus
• Previous experience in teaching and/or training
• Background in environment and development is a plus
• Preferably Ph.D. holder or MSc/MA in relevant field
