Patient Care Aide - ساعي تمريض

Makassed Hospital is now recruiting a Patient Care Aide.

• Job Objective: Perform general clinical duties by providing basic nursing care, transporting patients, supplies and equipment on floor.
• Work Schedule:  12 Hours shift - 7 am till 7 pm or 7 pm till 7 am, covering 14 days/month.
• Main Tasks: 
• Transport hospitalized patients to treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Help in transporting patients in ambulance from the hospital to another. 
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue. 
• Transport specimens, laboratory items, or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation and delivery to authorized personnel
• Bring needed equipment, and lab results requested during arrest. 
• Direct visitors and patients’ families when needed.
• Answer telephone.
• Collect and send equipment needed for sterilization to CSSD department.
• Provide nursing units with needed supplies.
• Perform daily round on assigned nursing floors
• Perform personal hygiene care to patients (bathing, oral care, hair care, perineal care, etc…)
• Perform postmortem care (cleanness, roll in clean cover…)
• Assist patients in elimination hygiene (bathroom, bedpans, urinals)
• Turn or reposition bedridden patients.
• Lift or assist nurses to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, or stretchers.
• Help organize patient’s environment by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of patient’s room.
• Maintain patient safety by practicing proper: patient identification, infection control practices, and PPEs.
• Maintain professional communication and etiquette with all patients, visitors, and other health care personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy for all patients.

Requirements:

- Secondary education / Technical Baccalaureate degree or equivalent.

- Certificate in a Nurse Aide training would be a plus. 

- Previous experience in the healthcare sector would be a plus.
