Social Work and Mental Health Support Intern

Qarama's mission in Lebanon is to promote a dignified and protective environment for the most vulnerable women, children, and youth in Lebanon - regardless of identity and through an intersectional and all inclusive approach. 

 

Qarama is in search of a cultivated and dedicated social work and mental health support intern to join and support our team.

The activities the intern will be involved in range across our various projects and programs, however they are mostly related to human rights and  mental health support. It is important to conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in accordance to the organization's code of conduct and policies.


Activities include: 

  • Prepare and support in Life Skills and psychosocial support training for beneficiaries in different contexts. 
  • Outreach & follow up with relevant actors such as Youth Committees, Universities, and vocational schools, NGOs/ community focal points, and others.
  • Conduct field monitoring visits to provide support when needed to ensure quality implementation in specific areas.
  • Support the team in data entering and preparing the processed data.
  • Assist in organizing, preparing and running meetings, workshops and conferences
  • Any other tasks assigned.

  • Fluency/working proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal).
  • Strong team player and experienced collaborator.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Solution and goal oriented.
  • Ability to deliver information to different age group.
  • Willing to learn new skills and to share your skills with others.
