OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the social worker is responsible for leading, planning, and conducting inclusive initiatives with the community.

The social workers will be operating under the management of the Inclusive Education - Project Manager, and the supervision of the project manager.

Responsibility 1: Ensure planning, implementation, and monitoring of all community inclusive initiatives
- Participate in the selection and contextualization of the modalities of intervention in compliance with HI technical framework.
- Contribute to the development and/or adaptation of methodologies and the development of technical tools
- Organize and/or participate in the testing of the tool whenever appropriate and adjust them according to the results of the test
- Provide ad-hoc support to the team during tools use including field coaching
- Train project partners and relevant actors and stakeholders on the methodologies and tools.
- Train parents on the parental engagement training pack
- In close coordination with stakeholder’s focal points organize, plan, and implement inclusive activities
- Develop inclusive material in close coordination with the technical team related to events such as: creating visibility items, creating leaflets, and organizing social activities (international day of people with disabilities, international children’s day…)
Responsibility 2: Data management and reporting
- Report on activities conducted and, reflect on lesson learning.
- Ensure data collected is accurate, complete and consistent;
- Collect all the missing information from the field related to inclusive initiatives or to project reporting.
- Collect, analyze and disaggregate data by disability, gender, and age
- Work in harmonic coordination with all teams members
- Timely inform your line manager of your weekly needs and produce the related documentation
- Range all the open files in order and respect confidentiality
- Participate in the different activities that are common to all team members
- Ensure internal standards and guidelines are respected
- Fill daily with precision the internal reporting tools (weekly report, donation certificate) and any other reports to be made upon line manager request
- Produce training and coaching reports and coordinate feedback with the service providers for strengthening continuous staff development
- Complete an evolution note after each intervention done
Responsibility 3: Contribute to project lesson learnt and promotion at national & international level
Activities :
- Collect data as per the framework defined and contribute to their analysis.
- Input in the identification and analysis of the project’s good practice
Responsibility 4: Respect and contribute to the deployment of and compliance with HI’s global frameworks, institutional policies, and standards;

- PME and Project Quality Framework
- DGA policy and action plan
- The operational REACT emergency preparedness measures
- HInclusive action plan in the mission
- HI’s Environmental agenda in the mission
Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- University degree in Social work or related degree
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the related field with preference with NGO. Social work experiences with persons with disabilities on their education and/or rehabilitation issues would be an asset.
- Demonstrate good understanding of social issues.
- Understanding of a comprehensive approach on disability and vulnerability.
- Proven coordination skills to work with a diverse network of actors, including the public authorities, in a diplomatic manner.
- Good report writing skills.
- Demonstrated effective communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to relate to the target group (be approachable, shows empathy).
- Ability to propose workable solutions and identify their implications (positive and negative) adapted to beneficiaries’ needs

Social Worker Education Specialized officer Level 1 is going to be paid according to the experience and to HI salary Grid.
Basic Salary range between USD 1400-2000 USD
