Community Health Worker Supervisor (COVID Activity)- Bekaa

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

  • Conduct daily field visits in order to identify CHWs who are willing to engage in the project. When identifying the CHWs, special attention should be directed towards the behavioural competencies and their experience in approaching vulnerable communities;
  • Follow up and supervise the daily work and achievements of the CHWs by collecting their weekly reports in an effective and efficient manner; the job holder must ensure that the behavioural and technical competencies of the CHWs as demonstrated on the field with the beneficiaries/facilities are up to the expectation of Relief International and in alignment with RI’s code of conduct;
  • Organize and perform Post Distribution Monitoring visits with CHWs to a number of facilities that received COVID-19 testing kits and relevant training from UNICEF and MOPH;
  • Report safeguarding concerns to RI’s reporting channels;
  • Participate and support the direct line manager in any preparation or monitoring process;
  • Collect, organize and archive all documents and Means of Verification following distribution and monitoring activities, attendance sheets, or any other documentation received from the field;
  • Build the capacity of the CHWs for active participation and control of communicable diseases by facilitating the training of CHWs on the use of COVID-19 testing kits and data collection tools;
  • Ensure that the CHWs demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working or coordinating with beneficiaries and facilities, and any internal or external party; any incident or work-related conflict should be immediately reported by the CHWs to the CHW Supervisor first then the Public Health Officer;
  • Ensure that the CHWs demonstrate a high level of cultural sensitivity, professionalism, politeness and objectivity when dealing with the beneficiaries under all circumstances;
  • Raise the awareness of the CHWs and communities on health promotion aspects for early preparedness and response to outbreaks, and transmission and prevention of common communicable diseases mainly COVID-19;
