Facilitator for Moderation Training

Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is about to start new programs in Lebanon with altogether 5 partner organizations. This will require excellent communication and moderation skills of the managers and the team-leaders.

WHH plans therefor to conduct a training in moderation and team-communication for related WHH personnel and managers of partner organizations. The workshop is to be conducted in presence (not online).

Time of the workshop:   Two days somewhere in October or November

External facilitator needed: yes, maybe facilitator plus assistant

Possible content of the training:

Training has to take place in English language

• Morning (9-12): Theory
• Afternoon (13.30-16.30): Practical exercises

Models and techniques from communication theory and psychology applied in a practical way through input, exercises, and role-playing:

• Moderation - more than classic meeting management
  • Role of the moderator.
  • Conflict area of leadership responsibility - neutral moderation.
• Techniques of moderation
• Moderating events
• Effect as moderator
• Moderation in practice
  • Work on case studies.
  • Exercises in dealing with moderation techniques.
  • Transfer of techniques to own field of work.
  • Feedback on own effect in the role of moderator.
  • Specific tips on how to improve one's own moderation skills.
