Product and quality management consultant– DAWERR Incubation Program

Context & Background  

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.  

This Incubation Program is a program  designed and managed by  BERYTECH under the DAWERR Activity, a 5-year Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the goal to establish sustainable and replicable integrated solid waste diversion and valorization solutions in rural areas of Lebanon. 

Under DAWERR program, BERYTECH will provide business and technical assistance and other needs to support the 3 incubated startup teams in enhancing their prototype / developing their MVP and get them prepared to go to market.

Scope of work 

The DAWERR Activity team seeks an expert (we are targeting independent consultants only) over a period of 2 months to deliver 4 x 1-1 sessions with each of the 3 startups, to provide tailored support, mainly:

• Assisting in developing a realistic work plan to reach the expected deliverables required for phase 2, particularly a validated product/MVP
• Evaluating technical assumptions, reviewing technical testing results, and providing recommendations to refine prototype/MVP
• Ongoing reviewing of the product development progress and providing guidance for improvement
• Reviewing and providing tailored feedback to finalize the product requirements document covering the development of their MVP
• Assisting in developing a product development roadmap including a defined set of technical features for their MVP
• Assisting in defining hardware, and related technical specs needed to procure the material from the available budget

Sessions are expected to be highly interactive, customized to the scope of the project and profile of the ventures

 Expected Deliverables  

Key Deliverables: 

• Submit a report to the program management team after each session; covering progress, challenges faced, and recommendations provided to each startup

Qualifications  

• Ability to identify, validate assumptions and constructively challenge them
• Product development experience with early-stage startups
• Knowledge and experience in innovative solutions tackling waste is highly desirable
• Effective communicator with any audience in an organized, professional manner
• Desire to deeply understand and empathize with our users

• Expert bio, proven track records and experience in the required field
