Remedial Teacher - Tripoli

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose: The main purpose of the position is to provide Math, Science, Arabic, and English classes to equip students to improve their education.

Reports To: Remedial Coordinator 

Major Activities :

• Teaching according to the student's educational needs and abilities, including a focus on interactive learning.
• Enrolling students in the educational program, including placement.
• Preparation of classes based on the curriculum.
• Providing input on the curriculum, including developing the curriculum was required and with the support of the Project Manager.
• Encouraging students of all levels, promoting their progress and wellbeing, and creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom.
• Show self-motivation, enthusiasm, and creativity.
• Work effectively with team members.
• Maintain records and prepare reports and recommendations
• Plan lessons and assess students, tailoring their lessons according to the abilities of the children in the classroom.

Education & Experience :

• Proven experience as a Remedial Teacher.
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, flexible disposition.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English both spoken and written.
• Advanced knowledge in the subject being taught
• Excellent teaching skills
